Vaginal Tearing During Birth: Myths You Probably Believe in
In the journey of pregnancy and childbirth, there are numerous aspects to consider, and one that often sparks curiosity and concern is the possibility of vaginal tearing during birth. With so much information circulating, it's easy to fall into the trap of believing common myths. But fear not, dear moms, as we delve into these myths and separate fact from fiction, empowering you with the knowledge you need for a positive and informed birthing experience.
Myth #1: Perineal Massage during Pregnancy Prevents Tearing during Birth
You might have heard about perineal massage as a technique to prevent tearing during birth. While it can be beneficial for some moms, it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. Perineal massage involves gently stretching and massaging the perineum – the area between the vagina and anus – to increase its elasticity and reduce the risk of tearing during childbirth.
For certain moms, perineal massage can be helpful, especially for those with a history of sexual trauma or previous trauma in the perineal area. It provides an opportunity to practice breathing through the pressure of having the perineal skin stretched during crowning, promoting relaxation and preparedness for the birthing process.
However, it's essential to remember that there are alternative methods to prevent tearing that might suit your preferences better. One significant factor is birthing positions. Research suggests that delivering in positions other than lying on your back can significantly reduce the chances of tearing. Gravity can play a role in easing your baby out gently, minimizing strain on the perineum.
Additionally, focusing on your breathing during the crowning phase can make a difference. Embracing deep, controlled breaths and gentle pushes can help your body accommodate the birth naturally, minimizing the risk of tearing.
Myth #2: Episiotomy Is Better Than Tearing
An episiotomy is a surgical incision made in the perineum during childbirth to create a larger opening for the baby's passage. There was a time when episiotomy was a routine procedure, believed to prevent severe tearing. However, advancements in medical knowledge and practice have shed light on the potential drawbacks of episiotomies.
Contrary to popular belief, a natural tear may be more favorable for the healing process compared to an episiotomy. When a natural laceration occurs, the edges of the tear tend to be jagged, allowing for better and quicker healing. On the other hand, an episiotomy is a perfectly clean cut, which might heal together, but not as naturally as a tear.
Moreover, episiotomies can sometimes extend deeper and more extensively than natural tears, making the recovery process more challenging. Natural healing products, like the ones we'll explore later, can support the healing of natural tears, offering comfort and care during the postpartum period.
Myth #3: All Moms Tear or All First-Time Moms Tear
One of the most common misconceptions is the belief that all moms, especially first-time moms, will inevitably experience tearing during childbirth. However, this is not true for everyone. The likelihood of tearing can be influenced by various factors, including birthing positions and the individual's body preferences.
Choosing a birthing position that aligns with your body's needs and instincts can play a significant role in preventing tearing. When you're able to give birth in a position that feels comfortable and natural, your body can ease the baby out more gently, reducing the risk of tears.
Additionally, being in a supportive birthing environment where you're not rushed or pressured to deliver within a specific timeframe can make a difference. Giving your body the time it needs to naturally birth your baby can promote a gentle and calm birthing process.
To clear up these myths, it's important to remember that every birth experience is different. By choosing natural childbirth and using gentle, natural products for postpartum care, you can make the journey positive and empowering for you and your little one.

It is a magical product.
This magical product (yes, magic is the word) was suggested to me by a senior doula and a hypnobirthing teacher I was in touch with at the time. After giving birth to my 2nd child, she visited me to see how I was doing.
Since we both shared the love and interest for essential oils, she introduced me to the king of all oils: the Frankincense, and suggested diluting it in water. Little that I know about the greatness of this oil; after deep research for its benefit and qualities, I discovered that this oil was first mentioned in the Bible as one of the main oils the high priests used in the temple for spiritual ceremonies and rituals, as well as for healing. its benefits are countless: treating inflammation, anti-aging, balancing, and moisturizing (and many health benefits in between).
To complement the formula, I used high vibrational healing water* and added pure lavender oil. I created a formula that I believed effective and used it on myself. The feeling was amazing. I felt refreshed, recovered, and healed as the days went by. The combination of frankincense and the unique water did wonders for my body, and I loved this product. It was only natural to want to share this with the world!
A powerful tool for healing
Soon after, I gave another friend who happened to be a busy doula to try the product on her clients, and the results were just incredible. The excellent feedback started to flow, and everyone was amazed. Undoubtedly, this could be such a powerful healing tool after labor.

How it came to me...
After giving birth to my first child, my doula came to visit me at the house to see how I am doing and how my recovery is going. She gave me a jar and said there was honey and lavender in it, and that I should use it as needed for the time of recovery.
She explained that this is a postpartum remedy that has passed through generations from our great-grandmas till today, and that it's not sticky. What did I have to lose?
I felt okay considering I was one week after labor but was ready to feel great. So I gave it a chance.
The instructions were to spread it on the panty liner during the day. I was amazed at how well It worked, how great I felt, and that indeed it wasn't sticky at all. It was very healing and felt right.
A healing miracle
A good friend of mine just gave birth to her second child, in v-back labor (her first labor was a c- section). Needless to say, it was very painful and many stitches were done. A few days after the delivery she still couldn’t sit or walk properly.
Being a good friend, I prepared 2 bottles for her with the products. She immediately felt relief! After 2 days only, she could walk and sit, she could also smile again and simply enjoy her newborn, without any trace of discomfort! Her recovery was fast and smooth. She couldn’t believe the difference with and without the products, and most importantly how fast they work!
That made me think “why can’t other women enjoy a natural rapid relief after birth?”
Us moms deserve it! That thought led me to create this line of products to help women heal.
